Rev. Amy Terhune

 
       Pastor Amy, as she likes to be called, has been the appointed pastor at Hancock First United Methodist Church since July 2009.   
       Amy earned her BA in English Literature from U of M in May of 1996 and accepted a scholarship to Boston University School of Theology to begin her seminary education in the Fall of that year.  While in Boston, she served two years as a pastoral intern at the Watertown United Methodist Church.  Amy studied with a special focus in Hebrew and Old Testament Theology.  It was in Boston that she met her husband Brad.
       Amy graduated from Boston University in May of 1999, was married in June of 1999, and began pastoral appointments in July of 1999.  She served three years as the associate pastor of Port Huron First United Methodist Church.  After being ordained elder at Annual Conference in May of 2002, she was sent to Columbiaville UMC (Flint District), and was there for seven years. 
       Amy and Brad have two daughters:  Catharine (3rd Grade) and Isabelle (Kindergarten).
